My New Addiction

So, a few weeks ago, Trent and I went to Peterbrook Chocolatier. It is really the best place ever! I love their goodies, but boy, are they expensive! He bought me two chocolate covered strawberries, and when we got in the car, he gave me one. I told him I was a little hesitant in trying it, because I had never had one before. Yes, you heard correctly. Never had a chocolate covered strawberry before. Ever. Anyway, for those of you who really know me, you know that I have serious issues mixing foods and flavors together. But, I decided to give it a try. And holy cow, was I instantly hooked! The downfall, was one little chocolate covered strawberry was $2.50! Wow!!

So, a few days later, I decided to go to the store and get some berries. I strolled down the baking isle, and found this:

So, I bought it, obviosly, and decided to take myself home and do it! I've already made about 5-6 batches, and I'm completely addicted! I can't get enough of these! For Christmas, I made some friends of mine some chocolate covered strawberries drizzled with with chocolate, and their kids received chocolate covered pretzel rods, drizzled in white chocolate and some were coated with sprinkles. They were so good, and very surprised to have received such a thoughful gift! I didn't get any pictures of that batch that I made, but I was fortunate enough to have been able to take a picture of the batch I made this evening:

After letting them chill for 15 minutes in the refrdgerator, I immediately dug in!! This was the final result:
